Graffiti and taking photos of it.

I love seeing graffiti work on buildings, trains, whereever.. the pieces that really strike me I always take pictures of them for memory. I have tons of pictures that I would love to show people of graffiti artist work, but it's not my work to show. The photo is mine, yes. The image that I'm taking is the graffiti artist. So is the picture belong to me or the other artist?

I thought about what if I was in a park and took a picture of a statue. I consider the picture mine. Yes the sculpture is another artist, but the photo is mine. Is that the same than taking a picture of someone's graffiti work. Part of me feels there is something different, but I can't figure it out.

Your plates idea is awesome. I love tactile art and feeling things, and what you're doing will not only be beautiful but help people who wouldn't be able to normally, experience art. Can't wait to see your finished product; when are you expecting to finish things?

Thank you for your comment. I'm actually a bit stressed about the prints... that it would be boring and disinteresting for those who are feeling and seeing. Each plate is very simular to one another, but there are different images. I love how I created these forms to move around the paper. I like to keep things simple... some what. At the moment I need to go back and put the tar stuff on 50 plates again.. I thought the acid ate away at the plate enough.. but it didn't for a lot. Hopefully, at the latest, I can be done some time in March (oh my that feels so far away). It boils down when I'm allowed to use the lab, and there is only a certain amount of hours I can stay there. WHOA! I just wrote a load of stuff. Hope i didn't bore you. Thanks for being interested!
